Miriam, our Sommeleir and host, and Loredana, our chef, did an amazing job looking after us during our visit this week. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience, which although out of season, was still amazing. Miriam is highly competent, passionate about what she does and the beautiful products and property she represents and provided a wonderful insight into wine production and its challenges / positives at the foot of a volcano. Loredana produced delicious food focusing on local, small producers and matched beautifully to the wines we tasted. I would recommend this experience to anyone with a passion for great food, wine and hospitality.

We had the pleasure of visiting Planeta and it was truly an exceptional experience! The tour started with a warm welcome from our knowledgeable guide Myriam, who walked us to the stunning vineyards while explaining the winery’s history and the winemaking process in detail. The tasting was equally impressive. We sampled a diverse selection of wines, each introduced with descriptions of their unique characteristics, pairing suggestions, and the story behind each vintage. The wines themselves were outstanding—complex, balanced, and with distinct notes that showcased the local territory. The locally-made food pairings were the perfect addition to the tasting! The ingredients were fresh and locally sourced, adding to the authenticity of the experience. The food was delicious, with flavors that complemented the wines beautifully. Overall, Planeta exceeded all expectations! We highly recommend this tour for wine enthusiasts or anyone looking for a relaxing day immersed in beautiful scenery, great wine, and incredible food. It’s an unforgettable experience we’d repeat in a heartbeat!

We had a tour, wine tasting, and lunch here. It was all wonderful. The tour was great!! The tour started in the old press mill. The hostess for our tour did a great job. It was full of information on the different Planeta wineries and their different special varietals and soil compositions. We then went outside and she spoke about their vineyard in more detail. The wine tasting was in another building with a great long table that was already set up for us. Everything ran smoothly and we got to try 4 different wines. The accompanying cheese and bread board was delicious. All came from the local area too. The lunch was absolutely delicious. We all enjoyed it very much. Everything on the plate was also locally sourced.

We went for the White Lotus experience. I thought the reception was nice, the people were very friendly, but I thought they didn't serve much wine and the food was just ok. It lasted 2h30 and the wines ranged from 9 to 90 euros.

We went for a tour of the vineyard and had such a wonderful experience! The site is absolutely beautiful with great views of Etna and the vines. The tasting experience with local cheese and bread pairing was superb, all high quality products from the region. We loved learning about the history of the site and see the care of the winery for their land through low intervention grape growing. Highly highly recommend! We're only sad we didn't stay for lunch :)

We just left the Planeta cellars. A superlative tasting experience! We tasted many labels, one better than the other, we were impressed by the Chardonnay, and I in particular by the Rosé, but the reds are worth it and a lot, it would take another review to describe them. We loved every name that passed through this cellar. The girls who introduced us to the wines (and the cellar) Elena and Miriam were very good both in explaining certain wines and the pairings, and in the whole presentation, you can see that they care about the company and that they live and love it every day. Thank you for the time you dedicated to us. Ps a thank you also goes to the cook, everything was excellent 😍

One of our favorite wine tastings of all times. We did the White Lotus tasting, and while the weather did not cooperate, so we needed to sit indoors, it was still totally delightful. The tour was informative, even though we have been on MANY vineyard tours. And the food was absolutely amazing! The black pig sausage was the star. Some very nice wines as well.

We did the visit with tasting and lunch. The very kind girl who followed us (I humbly ask forgiveness but I don't remember the name ... on vacation I tend to be lax 😁) showed preparation not only regarding the wine but also the territory. Exceptional: prepared, welcoming, friendly. Beautiful location and excellent lunch and obviously ... the wines!!! An absolute must if you are in the area!!!

A winery on the lava flows of Etna, with well-kept vineyards and a shop with a wide variety of wines. If you are in the area, you should visit it, but it is best to arrange a visit in advance.

More than positive experience, the Planeta estate is located in the Sciaranuova countryside, the place is very intimate but functional for tasting and to savor the tastes and places of the past. The tasting with the wines is also itinerant during the visit to the vineyard. Really excellent wines. The subsequent lunch to accompany the tasting is sufficient (do not expect abundant dishes) and very tasty. The small place gives a touch more intimacy to the place. The service is friendly and welcoming. We will return. Recommended+++++

Great old reactivated Cantina with excellent wines

We booked a tasting in August and it was really good. A spectacular place at the foot of Etna. In addition to tasting very good wines, we were also able to taste local products.

Worth seeing

An old farmhouse with vineyards, lovingly restored by the Planeta family and now used as a place for tastings. The wine needs no introduction, it is renowned throughout the world. The professionalism of the people, the hospitality, the excellent local food and the magnificent location make it an unmissable stop. A true, elegant and unique Sicilian experience.
